Some Things About Therapy

  • It is normal for growth and change to feel uncomfortable.

  • Choosing therapy does not mean you are broken, damaged, or somehow wrong. - it is great tool for learning how to manage anxiety, depression, and more.

  • Understand your therapist is there to help guide you. You are the one who has to make decisions on the type of guidance you need. At times I didn't know what kind of help I needed. Those times are okay as well. Sometimes you just need to show up and talk it out.

  • Change does not happen immediately. It will take time but it is so worth it.

  • All therapy sessions are different. On different days we need different things.

  • It is important to be honest with your therapist. You are not going to get the most you can out of a session if you don't let them know what you are thinking and feeling.
