Breakdowns= Breakthroughs

Let us talk about breakdowns. I used to hate breakdowns. The pain...

For me typically it amped up my flashbacks, nightmares, and triggers. I would quickly spiral down into depression.

My anxiety would be on overdrive.

I just wanted to calm down.

I just wanted to feel better.

Each breakdown was its own type of horrible.

As I'm writing this today,

I want you to know you have the power to change that.

Every time you use a coping skill, a self-care technique, every time you reach out...

you are rewriting those breakdowns.

They become less frequent.

They become less intense.

You are learning to manage the breakdowns.

The breakdowns become

breakthroughs.

You are stronger and better equipped to handle them.
