Falling Asleep with Anxiety

It is so hard to get a good night's sleep when we are anxious. Below you will find some tips that I find extremely helpful when falling asleep.
Stay away from stimulant like coffee, and energy drinks.
Instead, try herbal teas like peppermint or chamomile.
Adding a magnesium supplement at bedtime will help your muscles relax and ease tension.
Doing a brain dump of what's in your mind is a great way to vent and move on.
Do things to unwind. Such as, taking a bubble bath or shower.
Use calming essential oils like lavender.
Do some genital stretching or yoga.
It is important to make these a ritual to show your body and brain it is time for sleep.
Try a guided meditation for sleep. This is so much easier than I thought it would be and has been so effective.
Finally, I recommend keeping a regular bedtime, so your body and brain know when it is time to relax.
