We should treat ourselves with kindness. Many times, I found my self-talk was horribly negative. I was the one telling myself I was worthless, or stupid, or whatever. I had to stop talking to myself like this. I would never say those things to a loved one. However, here I am in my own head,

being verbally abusive. It does not matter why I started talking to myself this way. The important thing is that I stop. I am in my head 24/7. I need to be kind to myself. That is my job. I need to embrace and love myself. I deserve it. You deserve it. Things change when you love yourself. It is something no one can take from you.
